Silvopastoral systems integrate trees, shrubs, and grazing livestock within the same land area, offering diverse benefits for agriculture and the environment. This research highlights the versatility and advantages of both ancient and modern silvopastoral systems. The methodology involved reviewing existing studies to evaluate the productivity and animal welfare impacts of these systems. Key findings indicate that silvopastoral systems can improve land productivity by up to 55%, enhance animal welfare through better living conditions, and support biodiversity. This evidence suggests that adopting such systems can provide sustainable solutions to farming challenges, especially in the context of climate change and food security.
