This study reviews existing literature and data on soil carbon sequestration (SCS) rates for various grasses and grazing management practices to present evidence of the feasibility and benefits of improving land management.Grazing lands occupy approximately 3.6 billion hectares globally and can sequester about 20% of the carbon dioxide released from deforestation and land-use changes, helping mitigate climate change while providing numerous societal benefits. Key findings indicate that effective grazing management, such as rotational grazing and appropriate fertilisation, can enhance soil organic carbon levels significantly, improving soil, air, and water quality, while simultaneously supporting local economies through agriculture. With ongoing discussions about policy implications and support for grazing land management, the research calls for further efforts and regulations to lo extend support for sustainable grazing practices worldwide.
